At the end of the road called Rue de Bertheaume you find the nice fort.
On a camper/camping parking place on the road towards this location we encountered some bunkers. We have not found any information about these bunkers, maybe you can help us?
This French fort has a good view over the sea and the entrance to the harbour of Brest. The complex is spread over a part of the mainland and the island. In 1992 the island was connected by a bridge. The restoration of the fort was finished in 1996.
On the island part you will find several objects added, adjusted or made by the Germans during the war, together with old and pre war French objects.
